Priority Navigable Waterways (PNW)
Priority Navigable Waterways include the following:
- Navigable waterways, or portions thereof, that are identified as outstanding or exceptional resource waters under Section 281.15, Wis. Stats. (PDF, Exit DNR). more info.
- Navigable waterways, or portions thereof, identified as a trout stream by the department under Chapter NR 1.02(7), Wis. Adm. Code (PDF, Exit DNR). more info.
- Lakes less than 50 acres in size.
- Areas of Special Natural Resource Interest (ASNRI). more info.
- Public Rights Features (PRF). more info.
- Tributaries to and rivers connecting to inland lakes containing naturally-reproducing lake sturgeon populations up to the first dam. more info.
- Waters with self-sustaining walleye populations in ceded territories. more info.
- Waters with self sustaining musky populations. more info.
- Perennial tributaries to trout streams identified by the department under Chapter NR 1.02(7), Wis. Adm. Code (PDF, Exit DNR). more info.
